As many know, this site is fairly well established. Many users have post counts in the hundreds. Though, if someone were to look at some of the topics, talking specifically in the Role Playing section of the site, the last post is often months old. So, in order to 'clear clutter' I, and other administrators and moderators, are going to delete topics whose last post is pre-September 2008.

Realizing that many users will not want to lose what can be substantial post counts, I strongly suggest that these users begging posting in these topics again.

Also, with sufficient support (3 or more votes) any topic will be 'saved' from deletion.

The topics planned to be deleted are as follows;

Tailorshop Fiasco with 0 replies.
- Deleted on request
The Shadow Note with 115 replies.   1 vote. Voted by DrowDagger.
Revenge with 39 replies.     4+ replies. Confirmed as of Friday, January 2nd, 2009 at 11:53PM. Officially saved. Torak45
Vampire Crusades with 2 replies.
Wilderness Heart with 39 replies.
Out of Place with 53 replies.
Werewolf and Dragon with 98 replies.  1 vote to keep. Voted by Val.
All Fun and Games with 29 replies.
Creed's Great Glory with 3 replies.
Dreamwalk with 98 replies.
Clumsy Thievery with 1 reply.

To save any of these topics, a vote of 3 or more is required. Failing that, 2 or more posts from different users may also save any one of these post.

Planned deletion day is February the 1st, so you have plenty of time.

(This is subject to veto by other administrators. Administrator and moderator votes count as 1 vote. Subject to change without notice.)

Thank you for your time, and sorry for any inconvenience.

Okay, you have a good point, but as I said, this is subject to change without notice, so that goes for Mod / Admin vote count to.

Administrators and Moderators votes are now worth only 1.

Sorry for any confusion.

Glad to know people actually read this stuff. Tongue

Maybe just move them into an 'old topic' subboard instead? I know a couple of those are the only posts of certain users and removing them would most likely  only result in them having to reestablish their entire posts.

"Werewolf and Dragon" isn't active anymore, but its content is kinda storyline-important. Could you move it to "old topics" instead of deleting it? Please?

Okay, just to clear things up, posts in these topics are no longer going to be deleted, but instead moved to trash bin, an administrative folder. Posts in trash bin do not tally on a users post count, but they can be retrieved for later use.

Val, I am going to presume that you are voting to keep "Werewolves and Dragons" I will make a note that there is so far one vote.

Just a reminder, every user has one vote per topic. So, that means that Val, for example, can vote to keep each and every topic, but can only vote on each topic once.

I vote to keep them all.
'Nuff said.

-is being difficult again-
EDIT//
Fine. Shadow Note because it's the guild RP of our guild. Vampire Crusade never really started due to a dispute between members (myself included, sorry) so I won't vote for that. Revenge got its reply, and that's all I'm in.

Okay, slight change of rules. {Again?!}

Any vote must be both by someone who has posted in the specific topic, spam does not count. Any topic of two people will require them to post in it, as it will still need 3 votes. Administrators and moderators are exempt from this rule.

Any vote needs to be justified, with a good reason behind it. Note: Good reasons are the interpretation of administrators and moderators. Administrators and moderators ARE NOT exempt from this rule.

These new rules are intended to simply things.

Sorry if this is confusing any of you, please message me for clarification.

Alright I have a few problems. First of all, posts moved to the trash bin will still count to a user post count, for two reasons, the user did have to post that and the site is not capable of that complicated procedure. Also, I'd prefer that you post this stuff on the administors discussion board before you do it here, that way there's less problems and you get stuff straight before it's posted for the rest of the site to see.

You are right. I really should have cleared this with you first. For what ever reason, it didn't occur to me, so, until the (active) admins and mods discuss this, I am putting things here on hold. (Which doesn't mean you can't vote or reply, please, feel free to continue.)

By the way, I was under the impression that posts sent to trash bin didn't count towards user total post counts, thank you for clearing this up to myself and other users I have confused. Sorry about that everyone.

I am going to make a topic in the admin boards for us (the admins / mods) to discus this further, we will keep you posted.
